Hokusai – Rice Paper Banner

Materials Needed:

Rice paper, sharpies, picture ideas, watercolor paint, water and bowls, dowels.

What to do:

Cut rice paper to the size you want.

We suggest you do this part before any presentation so that the watercolors have time to dry.  Put some water on you brush and  gently wet rice paper by brushing across it.
Then take watercolor paint and paint down or across the paper, using different colors ½ way through.  Blend colors together, they should start to blend themselves as you are going down or across the paper.

Let dry.

Once dry take sharpies and color in your picture.

Glue one end of paper around dowel and hang.
